On behalf of Nets we are looking for a talented and passionate UX/UI designer who will take a leading role in ensuring that Nets delivers best-in-class customer experiences across their online presence. This includes landing page design and optimization, graphic design for frontend and CRO execution.
Nets is a leading provider of digital payment services in the Nordics. The company was founded in 2010 through a merger of the Danish company PBS and the Norwegian company Nordito (formerly BBS and Teller). The company’s origin, however, dates back to 1968, and payments have been at the core of their business ever since. Whilst their offerings to merchants, corporates, financial institutions, consumers and wider society may have evolved over time, digital payments of all types remain at the heart of everything they do. Nets forms the backbone of the Nordic payments ecosystem with solutions touching people’s everyday lives, often deeply embedded in society. Nets’ customers are from all corners of society and include banks, corporations, merchants of all sizes and public-sector organisations. For more than four decades, Nets have been instrumental in developing a modern payment infrastructure, with the introduction of a number of successful payment products to the Nordic region, including Dankort, Betalingsservice, NemID, BankID, Avtalegiro and BankAxept, and in recent years the company has made significant investments to expand the acquiring business including E-com and mobile solutions as Mobile Dankort. In a power move by Nets and German Concardis Group, the two engaged in a merger in June 2018 and they are now the largest digital payment provider in Europe. The merger enables Nets’ strategy of expanding and playing an active role in forming the European payment industry.

As UX/UI Designer you will become a part of a start-up type unit that is part of a big organization and cannot slow down. You will work with inspiring, resourceful and enthusiastic colleagues in an organisation with lean processes and flat hierarchies. At the same time, you will have the possibility to create create impact that makes a difference for Nets and has a high degree of visibility across units. As UX/UI Designer you can work from both Stockholm or Copenhagen.
As UX/UI Designer you design with Nets’ Frontend Developers how to deliver the best user experience for the different targets on the prospect facing pages you develop. Furthermore, you will manage the design creation of new pages throughout all design stages from the concept over to the final release. You develop design ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to all Nets’ landing pages and across devices. From analytics through strategy to wireframes and design, your task will be to build digital products, that users not only need to use, they want to use them. You will work with all disciplines within UX and UI – both on a conceptual level and hand-on together with your team. Through your past professional experience, you have gained solid knowledge about digital user experience, but you have also realized that the professional solution cannot solely be based on the premises of the customers, but must be found in the intersection between customer’s needs and the business objectives
The position also involves the responsibility for the design of the responsive and content driven UX architecture, interaction flows and implementation of the best usability practices for new products and services across web, tablet and smartphone platforms. The position is very hands-on and you will get the responsibility for the production of wireframe, storyboards, user workflows and processes to improve the end-to-end experience of an interested prospect. Additionally, you will manage the deployment of new pages and optimize current ones to maximize CVR. It is important that you are determined to involve the users by driving user-tests and gather their valuable feedback.
You will be working with multiple groups across the business why it is very important that you are capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholder simultaneously across units (Product, MKT, IT, Sales) to solve complex user problems and needs that fit within the business framework. Other responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for translating product requirements into imaginative user focused design concepts through a detailed understanding of the user and their behavior.
- Formulate ideas on how to improve usability by enhancing user interface designs and navigation.
- Present ideas and solutions to the product and executive teams that support the vision and product strategy roadmap.
- Contribute to product vision and strategic decisions in collaboration with product management team members.
- Work closely with product owners and engineers to ensure a user-focused approach from concept through launch.
- Analyze user activity and click through patterns and make product recommendations.
- Conduct industry research and be able to recommend solutions based on the marketplace developments.
- Based upon the evidence you have gathered, create satisfying but seamless and invisible user experiences that serves the user and the business.
It is expected that you have a strong digital DNA with bubbling creativity and know all the tricks of the trade. You will be talking to users in all phases of the development and it is important that you enjoy sharing your knowledge.
As the ideal candidate we expect you to have at least 3-5 years of experience from a similar role with responsibility for UX/UI within a complex digital ecosystem. You have experience with prototypes and you have a good technical understanding ideally with hands-on experience within front-end development and/or digital design. As UX/UI Designer it is required that you have a master’s degree within the Design/UX field and that you are fluent in both written and oral English as well as Danish. Furthermore, you have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a UX/UI designer and in-depth experience with user involvement.
It is expected that you come with advanced knowledge of UX methodologies, and that you have confidence in providing strategic directions within UX/UI. If you additionally have great understanding of service design methodologies, it is a huge plus – even though this is not a requirement. Furthermore, you have a track record of working with B2B and B2C and in identifying valuable UX opportunities in those relationships. You have experience of controlling global brands and their design teams, and experience of acting as the clients’ point of contact within UX.

Moreover, you are enthusiastic and have a huge amount of drive by which you easily find innovative ways of setting direction and creating new and original digital products and solutions.
