Regional Marketing Manager for Nets
Nets is looking for a skilled and ambitious Regional Marketing Manager to lead, create and develop marketing strategies, programs and activities that drive business results in the Norwegian market, lead the development of customer facing materials, and provide the sales team with the tools to succeed.
Nets is a leading provider of digital payment services in the Nordics. The company was founded in 2010 through a merger of the Danish company PBS and the Norwegian company Nordito (formerly BBS and Teller). The company’s origin, however, dates back to 1968, and payments have been at the core of their business ever since. Whilst their offerings to merchants, corporates, financial institutions, consumers and wider society may have evolved over time, digital payments of all types remain at the heart of everything they do. Nets forms the backbone of the Nordic payments ecosystem with solutions touching people’s everyday lives, often deeply embedded in society. Nets’ customers are from all corners of society and include banks, corporations, merchants of all sizes and public-sector organizations. For more than four decades, Nets have been instrumental in developing a modern payment infrastructure, with the introduction of a number of successful payment products to the Nordic region, including Dankort, Betalingsservice, NemID, BankID, Avtalegiro and BankAxept, and in recent years, the company has made significant investments to expand the acquiring business including E-com and mobile solutions such as Mobile Dankort. In a power move by Nets and German Concardis Group, the two engaged in a merger in June 2018 and they are now the largest digital payment provider in Europe. The merger enables Nets’ strategy of expanding and playing an active role in forming the European payment industry.

As Regional Marketing Manager you will be leading, creating, and developing many of the marketing strategies, activities and programs securing strong results for Nets in Norway. You will work with segments specific market intelligence on products, customers or competitors, and you will identify business opportunities.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Helping the development of all value propositions, core content, marketing and go-to-market strategies for Nets Merchant Services in Norway.
- Identifying and executing breakthrough marketing activities that address the differing needs of both technical and non-technical users and buyers.
- Proposing and developing compelling marketing assets for use on the web, at live events and in customer facing programs – e.g. solution videos, customer success stories, white papers, presentations, how-to guides.
- Working with the rest of the marketing team to distil key functionality and benefits into core marketing messages that resonate with the target audience.
- Being part of defining the go-to-market approach by working with the rest of the marketing team to propose global awareness programs and lead generation campaigns, spanning digital, PR and in-person campaigns.
- Preparing and delivering clear, concise content for websites and social media.
You will also be working closely with SME, LAKA teams, local leadership teams and technical teams to achieve business goals.
You have a higher degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a similar education, as well as a strong background in digital marketing. You have experience with marketing and marketing communications from technology, IT or finance businesses and a proven track record of creating compelling positioning and marketing content. You have demonstrated your ability to tie marketing programs to ROI metrics, and your ability to develop effective marketing assets (product videos and web content) within tight deadlines. Furthermore, you are able to work independently and autonomously, as well as bringing yourself forward as a leader, driving consensus, and articulating recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives. You are able to understand technical and financial services of various complexity, and to communicate this to different target groups. Besides this, you are proactive, ready to challenge the existing, and eager to make a difference for yourself and Nets.
As a person, you are result-driven and ambitious. You are experienced in leading projects with external agencies and used to working closely together with sales departments. You have a great drive and are able to create team spirit through commitments and inspiration. You enjoy a strong sales culture, have strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to back up your assumptions. You must have at least 6 years of experience from developing and driving digital marketing strategy and execution, and we expect you to be able to make superior presentations. You have excellent oral and written skills in both Norwegian and English. Other Nordic languages are considered a plus.
