As Product Portfolio Manager for Haarslev Industries, the job areas will span from identification of market opportunities and portfolio gaps and translating these into value propositions and product concepts.
Haarslev Industries constantly strives for maintaining and developing the current product portfolio on functionality and technology to increase product quality and customer satisfaction, hence you will be responsible for managing and standardizing tools and processes by combining product, technical and market knowledge with commercial insight to ensure the best possible solutions. This includes ensuring that the product portfolio is developed with both a coherent and transparent structure. Moreover, it includes guaranteeing that products are defined based on a clear understanding of both the value products deliver to customers under different circumstances, applications and geographies as well as the technical specifications that describe and define a product.
Haarslev Industries competes within a dynamic and interesting market thus the Product Portfolio Manager will be responsible of defining gaps in the product portfolio. In addition, your role includes communicating with internal stakeholders on portfolio strengths and weaknesses in a constructive way. Hence, you will be in charge of scoping and driving identification of technical solutions, existing as well as potential, to close gaps and to gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
You will have the responsibility for identifying the potential for modularization across products by which you will build competitor intelligence by analysing commercial and strategic positions based on publicly available data. Furthermore, you will be responsible of documenting technical and commercial value drivers and translating those into competitive dimensions.
The Product Portfolio Manager has a central role in the organization, by which you will be working in an enthusiastic and determined team and you will report directly to the Innovation Director.
The new Product Portfolio Manager for Haarslev Industries has both a commercial and technical oriented mind- and skill-set and comes with 3-5 years of experience from another relevant commercial oriented product development role. Hence, you have a proven track record in portfolio management and have demonstrated how to create successful products and services and optimizing existing portfolio. You possess the skills to understand and translate technical specifications into functionality and value, and know how to work and communicate with technical functions. You are proactive, structured and find it easy to engage internal stakeholders in fact finding and documentation to build portfolio structure. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and convincingly across geographies and language barriers. You are curious and open-minded and are comfortable in speaking and engaging different clients and stakeholders.
You are detail-oriented and persistent by which you possess the skills to drive standardization and ensure structure in the product portfolio in an industry with complex technologies. You understand both the technical and commercial drivers of complexity and know how to identify value drivers across products. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented and have a basic understanding of the modularization concept.

You have the ability to inspire teams and colleagues in order to encourage them to deliver what they thought impossible.
