Marketing & Online Sales Director for KRM/ECCO
KRM is looking for an experienced, ambitious and goal-oriented Marketing & Online Sales Director who will be responsible for KRM’s retail marketing actives and online sales operations in Europe.
KRM is a retail company fully owned by ECCO. KRM manages ECCO’s own and operated retail stores and online sales on more than 20 European markets. Since its foundation in 2010, KRM has grown from being a handful of employees to 2000 worldwide. Together with ECCO, KRM’s mission is to give customers the best service and experience when buying ECCO shoes and accessories. Today, KRM operates more than 300 fully owned stores.
Last year, KRM took their first step towards transforming its business into omni-channel by insourcing the online business, which for four years had been outsourced to Boozt.com. The first phase of the project will end April 1st this year, when all markets have been taken over into a fully owned and operated e-commerce value-chain, selling more than 300,000 pairs of shoes and operating in more than 20 countries.
The Marketing & Online Sales Director will become a key player in executing KRM’s omni-channel journey and its overall marketing activities. The Marketing & Online Sales Director will be responsible for a team of 30+, located in both Zug and in KRM’s shared service hub in Warsaw, with about 7 direct reports. The Marketing and Online Sales Team is young, dynamic and ambitious. Therefore, it is a must that the future Marketing & Online Sales Director finds motivation in developing and mentoring a strong salesforce.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work with all touch points of the user journey both on- and offline, including paid, owned and earned media channels. The Marketing & Online Sales Director will need to collaborate with many stakeholders, both internal and external, in order to manage and drive key aspects of his/her area of responsibility. This includes seasonal marketing planning and strategies, monthly P&L and KPI analysis and reporting, and daily promotional campaign execution and follow-ups. As the Marketing & Online Sales Director, he/she will be responsible for the online sales performance. Therefore, it is crucial to have a good tactical understanding, not being afraid to make decisions while having a commercial mind-set.
As responsible for all marketing activities he/she also need to align and work closely together with ECCO’s Global Brand Management Team and the Regional Marketing Managers to facilitate optimal execution of global brand assets and guidelines ensuring effective and consistent representation of the ECCO brand, ROI of media spend executed by ECCO markets and continuous growth of brand awareness and customer preference. Key responsibilities will also be to monitor the central marketing budget as well as local market budgets to ensure optimal use of resources. Furthermore, it is crucial to brief and supervise on marketing and e-commerce projects in all KRM markets in close corporation with local Retail Coordinators and Marketing teams. It will also be expected that the Marketing & Online Sales Director takes the lead to test new campaign approaches in all markets to differ from competitions and constantly look for new angles. As Marketing & Online Sales Director you will be part of developing retail campaigns and activities to improve KPIs such as traffic, hit rate/conversion and basket size both in stores and online.
The ideal candidate holds a degree within the field Marketing, Sales, E-commerce, Business development, or other related areas with B2C focus, and have min. 4-5 years of experience from a similar position in a large B2C company, preferably within retail, fashion, lifestyle and/or consumer goods. A potential candidate must be a strong strategic thinker, who is able to translate overall business strategy to tactical activities with a drive to execute.
You must be result-oriented and determined to develop and implement a best-in-class omni-channel strategy, by keeping up with the latest trends and developments to stay ahead of competition. You are a team player and a natural motivator, as the position requires clear, positive, and motivating communication, allowing you to engage successfully with your team and other stakeholders.
Your personality is dominated by great energy and a “can-do” attitude. As the Marketing & Online Sales Director at KRM you possess empathic capabilities and have a healthy view and understanding of other people’s points of view. Lastly, you have excellent English proficiency, both oral and written.
The position is placed at KRM’s headquarter in Zug, Switzerland, and includes an attractive compensation package. Approx. 50 travel days yearly should be expected. As the Marketing & Online Sales Director you will report directly to Retail Director Anette Hasling Jaeger, who is a member of the KRM Management Board.
