SAS Institute in the Nordics (Denmark Sweden, Norway and Finland) is part of the North EMEA region and works in close collaboration with the departments in DACH, Western Europe, Russia & CIS, UK&I. The Nordic region consist of approximately 600 employees.
As Head of Go to Market you will be overall responsible for the development and execution of Go to Market programs in support of the company goals. It is important that you possess an international mind-set as you will be responsible for leading strategic marketing and campaign initiatives for Nordics and Russia. Is it key that you possess strong product marketing experience and know how to develop novel content strategies. You will play a central role in terms of defining the successful SAS Institute Go to Market strategy to ensure the position as the leader in analytics.
As Head of Go to Market you will become an integral part of the Nordic Marketing Leadership team, Nordic Sales Leadership team and EMEA GTM Leadership team.
The position requires a combination of a strong analytical mind-set, a strategic approach to problem solving and a sound business sense. Furthermore, the position requires international marketing experience, as the company operates within international markets, where you will be collaborating with EMEA and Global personnel to co-create, confirm goals, requirements and priorities for supporting and improving the marketing function. It is crucial that you have strong and proven people management skills, as you will be managing a team of senior GTM Business Partners and driving them to accomplish results through leading, planning, and implementing methods, strategies, and business initiatives. As the new Head of Go to Market, you will be spearheading and directing the development of the marketing GTM programs while leading the GTM marketing team. You are expected to deliver tangible and measurable results affecting the broader company goals and organizational objectives, as this is a strategically important role in the organization.
Most importantly, the position requires:
- Leverage domain and industry expertise to develop excellent integrated campaigns, marketing programs and services
- Product Marketing experience and skillset
- Interaction with internal staff, clients/customers, subcontractors, and applicable SAS departments
- Ability to identify current best practices and emerging trends in area of marketing functional expertise
- Identification of marketing opportunities through market research, customer feedback, analytics and best practices
- Responsibility for pipeline generation
- Establishment and prioritizing department responsibilities/objective relative to the group, department, division, and corporate goals
- Ensure that projects are completed on time following established procedures and schedules
- Remote management
As Head of Go to Market you possess a solid knowledge of marketing and sales techniques, channels, business partner relationship development strategies, and/or knowledge of a specific industry, market, technology, or business initiative related to area of assignment. You have at least 8 years of relevant experience from a similar position and/or relevant experiences from the consultancy site. You hold a MSc. in Business, Marketing Management or a similar field of study and ideally, you have experience from a similar management role with responsibility for your own department. It is important that you have international experience and that you are able to navigate easily in diverse and internationally oriented environments. In addition, it is crucial for this position that you are able to travel frequently.
As a person, you have a strong problem solving mind-set to any challenging situation. You are a team player who has the ability to work in an environment with several stakeholders. You possess a high level of social intelligence and outstanding skills within strategic marketing. Furthermore, you are a strong communicator with public speaking experience and highly developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills (English).
