Hence, they are looking for an ambitious Global Head of Social Media with knowledge and experience in social media and broader digital marketing skills to spread the brand message across the social media landscape through eye-popping content that captures consumers worldwide.
As the new Global Head of Social Media, the ideal candidate has strong experience in developing social media strategy, planning and developing relevant content activities, and is able to coordinate content translation and productions, thus ensure that all local content is in line with Bang & Olufsen’s overall global brand strategy. This includes collaborating closely with local freelancers and agencies along with close corporation with Channel Marketing and Global Marketing to ensure the organization align and maximize efforts across marketing channels.
The position is located in Lyngby, Denmark, where you will join the Global Marketing team, which consists of five young and dedicated sound- and design aficionados who are specialized in PR, content and communications.
As part of the strong digital venture, you will be in charge of devising a strategy for a strong and progressive presence on relevant social media channels across the globe for both Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY in order to engage customers by telling stories that are unique to the organization. By using Google Analytics and Hootsuite to transform data into valuable insight, you will create global brand awareness through engaging content that can help the organization to turn followers into loyal consumers.
Furthermore, you will be responsible of taking charge of day-to-day community management and responding to enquiries. By collaborating with an international network of colleagues, you will be in charge of ensuring that creative ideas and strategies are swiftly and excellently executed throughout Bang & Olufsen’s social platforms.
As a consequence of the success social media activities will contribute to the overall marketing mix and brand, you will over time be in charge of developing the social media team that will help you reach your goals and KPI’s.
The Global Head of Social Media will have the overall responsibility for Bang & Olufsen’s and B&O PLAY’s social media strategies and it is therefore of utmost importance that you are experienced in social media and yearn to use your digital qualities on a daily basic. At last, you are truly passionate about social media and have a desire for creating and reforming social media strategies for one of the world’s leading luxury tech and lifestyle brands.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and creative social media professional with expertise in driving a social community as well as social advertising- and paid campaigns. As a minimum, you have a bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with experience in social media from a relevant brand-driven company or digital marketing agency. You have strong and documented project and stakeholder management skills, thus find it natural and easy to collaborate with an international network of colleagues. As social media is one of the key channels of Bang & Olufsen’s global brand, you possess a strategic and innovative mind-set by which you are capable of contributing creative ideas and strategies, controlling social media platforms, and know how to inspire and engage the people around you.
To succeed in this position, you are driven by challenges and are comfortable with rapid change, and moreover, you know how to turn data into valuable insight using tools such as Hootsuite, Infomedia and Google Analytics.
As Bang & Olufsen is an international organization, you are fluent in English – oral as well as written, and you communicate and disclose ideas and concepts effortless.

You possess strong strategic and tactical qualities, and hold convincing leadership skills by which you easily inspire and motivate your colleagues and future team.
