Bang & Olufsen headquarters in Copenhagen is looking for an ambitious Global Brand & Collaborations Manager, who will have a key role in executing their overall strategy and strengthen Bang & Olufsen’s equity and awareness in the field of luxury lifestyle through collaborations with likeminded brands.

Bang & Olufsen continues to launch several new and innovative products, increasing significantly on brand and product collaborations activities, and strengthening their business model. To support their strategic global vision, they are hence looking for an experienced and highly ambitious Global Brand & Collaborations Manager with the knowledge, experience and network to execute strong brand management, and to drive brand collaborations with likeminded brands within Bang & Olufsen’s top focus markets.
As Global Brand and Collaborations Manager, you will have a significant role in a newly created team, which has a range of new functions across Bang & Olufsen’s organization. The team consists of one Senior Project Manager and one Global Brand Editorial Manager managed by the Global Head of Brand & Collaborations. You will play a key part in executing the brand strategy of the organization and creating global awareness, equity and sales through leapfrogging their brand collaborators and report directly to the Global Head of Brand & Collaborations. You will identify potential partners and drive the conversations, as well as aligning and managing stakeholders. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of collaboration partners, and you will ensure consistency in brand execution through definition and dialogues with key stakeholders and brand governance. In addition, you will be responsible for developing a brand manual and guidelines platform. As Global Brand and Collaborations Manager, you will take ownership of the upcoming brand guideline update and implementation, as well as day to day management, and you will influence the annual circle marketing decisions.
Your specific tasks will be:
- Maintaining and developing a strong and consistent brand expression across touch points, and supporting and providing strong guidance and confident point of views to stakeholders and partners.
- Positioning Bang & Olufsen through strategic relevant product collaborations with likeminded brands.
- Ensuring that the cultural and commercial context that Bang & Olufsen is placed in resonates with their strategy and inspires their target audience.
- Building, feeding and managing a relentless idea bank of brand collaboration ideas that are linked to Bang & Olufsen’s product road map and connect the brand to both the target audience and the luxury lifestyle brand positioning in cultural meaningful ways throughout the year.
- Securing a clear definition and execution of the brand guidelines internally in collaboration with the Creative Department and the Lead Creative Agency abroad.
- Managing the organization’s product placement program with an external agency.
In this position, you will be able to build up new processes, and we expect that you have a lot of relevant experience to draw on. With limited budgets, you possess the ability to find expedient brands with relevant ideas at the right time, and you know how to ensure consistency in brand execution through dialogues with key stakeholders. Additionally, you have previously developed brand manuals and guidelines platforms, and with deep experience in brand awareness, you have great knowledge in PR and Earned Media, thus know how to gain publicity through promotional efforts with excellent outcomes.
As the Brand & Collab department is entirely new, you will be able to make your mark on the processes, hence you are ready to boost awareness and brand equity through complementary brand products and cultural collaborations with likeminded brands. The ideal candidate will be ambassador of the brand, thus are able to ensure a strong brand implementation and followership through clear brand guidelines. Moreover, you will help creating a growing demand in the 34 metropolitan areas with focus on the top five cities: New York, Tokyo, London, Paris and Shanghai.
As an ideal candidate, you have minimum 5 years of experience from a similar role as Brand Manager within the luxury or lifestyle space. You are a global networker with strong global connections within culture, fashion, interior design and travel – or other aspects of luxury lifestyle. You are confident in driving meetings and business negotiations with third party top management, and you are generally business savvy. Hence, it is expected that you hold a high level of English communication skills, and that you are super agile and thrive in a global environment with fast decision-making.
It is essential that you are connected with Bang & Olufsen’s values and understand the “cultural game” through collaborations on their products like a DJ plays music for a party. You constantly keep yourself up-to-date with current trends and tendencies in the area of luxury lifestyle, and you are on top of exactly with who the next strong collaboration should be made in order to create a meaningful coherence with the Bang & Olufsen brand. You breathe Highsnobiety, Hypebeast, BoF, Gizmodo, etc. religiously, and you are never uncertain of what is hot and upcoming, and how Bang & Olufsen can connect conceptually. Spawning from young potential collaborators to established luxury lifestyle brands, you are thereby on top in order to identity interesting & culturally current moves.

Additionally, you think outside your own functions and capabilities and know how to create strong relationships with other parts and departments of the organization.
