Digital Data Analyst for Specsavers
Specsavers are now looking for a strategic Digital Data Analyst with expertise in Web Analytics and a comprehensive understanding of Digital Marketing in order to improve and optimize Specsavers’ digital performance in Northern Europe.
Specsavers’ story begins in 1984 on the Channel Island Guernsey, when a married couple opened a single specs shop. Over the course of the next 30 years, and owing to a continuous entrepreneurial spirit and a strong integrity, the Specsavers brand evolved to become one of the three largest opticians’ chain stores in the world.
Specsavers is by today an international partnership of nearly 2000 locally-run businesses in 10 European countries, committed to delivering high quality, affordable optical and hearing care in the communities they serve.
Each store is part-owned and managed by its own directors who are shareholders of their own businesses but are supported by key specialists in support offices and provide a range of services such as marketing, accounting, IT and wholesaling, etc. The joint venture partnership ensures that the opticians and audiologists who run their stores can concentrate on delivering what they do best – provide expert eye and hearing care to their customers.
In Denmark, the Specsavers brand is represented by Louis Nielsen, and the chain here consists of 75 stores, turning over more than 800 million DKK, and selling more than 400.000 pairs of glasses along with 60 million contact lenses each year. Specsavers/Louis Nielsen is a market leader in both Denmark and the Northern Region.
The Louis Nielsen headquarter is located in Aalborg, whereas Specsavers’ Northern Europe Office is located in Hvidovre, where the position as Digital Data Analyst is located.
100 skilled employees work at the Northern Europe Office, which is one of five such offices in the North, together aiding more than 350 Specsavers/Louis Nielsen stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland with overall management, marketing, buying and logistics, customer service, HR, IT, economy and business development – so that the stores can concentrate on what they do best; customers and sales.
As Specsavers’ customers become ever more digital, Specsavers are now investing in and up-scaling their online presence significantly across all their markets. Hence, in order to constantly improve and optimize their digital performance, they are looking for a Digital Data Analyst with expertise in Web Analytics and CRO to assist them in providing data analytics to build insights and strategies in Digital Marketing.
The position as Digital Data Analyst is completely new and therefore offers vast responsibility along with exciting opportunities to influence the direction of Specsavers’ digital future.
You will be main responsible for developing frameworks and processes to ensure that analytical insights can be formed and incorporated into the basis for key decision making. Furthermore, you will define Specsavers regional analytics and CRO roadmap, pulling together Northern European priorities and ambitions as well as best practises from global teams. You will be responsible for identifying and managing the optimal mix of data tools and programmes to ensure the role is set up for success, and be in charge of establishing and managing frameworks for visualisation and reporting of data and key insights to various stakeholder groups in the region.
Moreover, the Digital Data Analyst will be using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, and analysing and testing customer journeys, including all touchpoints and interactions from the online inbound traffic, websites, web stores and physical stores. Additionally, the position also includes working with digital deep-dive analysis tasks to make sense of data and to deliver the best insights.
The position offers different kinds of tasks both in Copenhagen and the surroundings, and also occasion travel across the Northern Europe Region.
As Digital Data Analyst, you will be part of the Northern European Marketing Team and report directly to the Head of Digital, Anders Koefoed. You will be integral in the online marketing across the company’s region by closely corporation with Specsavers’ Business Intelligence and Digital Analysis Center at Guernsey.
The ideal candidate has a Master Degree from either a Business School or University along with minimum 3 years’ experience as Data Analyst with web analytics, CRO and reporting as core from one or more international companies or digital performance agencies. To succeed in the position, you have a solid background from having developed and implemented plans and processes for data analytics and test programmes together with experience with data analysis and business data. Previously, you have worked with data models, database development and data mining, and managed A/B and multivariate testing to understand and improve the online customer experience.
You are used to work with implementation and configuration of Google Analytics (GA360), Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics and other relevant tag management-systems, and are highly experienced in analysing and handling big data tools like BigQuery, as well as R and Python or other tools for advanced statistical analysis. Moreover, it is an advantage if you have knowledge from working with tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI.
It is of utmost importance, that you have a great understanding of translating digital analysis and insights into new business ventures, recommendations and action points.
As the position includes responsibility for online marketing across the company’s region, you are fluent in English, and preferably in Danish as well, and you possess strong skills in presenting and visualising data and insights to make commercial recommendations.
As a person, you possess strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy. You have a systematic mind-set and are a proactive problem solver. Furthermore, you possess the ability to set objectives and present findings, and are competent and relaxed in dealing with multiple stakeholders across borders – including external agency management.
You are self-motivated, highly organized and efficient, and you come with positive energy and an energetic spirit.
