CTO for Practio
Practio is looking for an ambitious and visionary CTO to join Practio’s leadership team. The key challenges for the new CTO will be to strengthen and develop Practio’s strategies on their technical platforms, build and lead the development team and define the company’s IT infrastructure for future scalability.
Practio is a Danish company with a strong vision of creating digital health solutions that give consumers better access to quality healthcare services. In a novel combination of digital tools and pharmacies as a point-of-care Practio offers better access to primary healthcare services for the consumers, creating better patient outcomes and lower costs of healthcare.
Practio offers immunisation consultations at community pharmacies under the brand sikkervaccination.dk, and is currently launching an innovative subscription service for birth control pills, as part of their grand vision of making the healthcare sector more efficient and tackle the global shortage of healthcare professionals.

Since its inception in 2015, Practio has been cash generating from its rapidly growing immunisation business. In order to aggressively accelerate its commercial and international development, as well as invest heavily in new product development, the company recently closed a substantial seed funding from private investors.
Practio is looking for a passionate CTO to assume the overall responsibility of building and maintaining a top-of-the-class technical infrastructure and all strategic decision regarding technical tools and structures for Practio. The new CTO will hold full management responsibility for the development team, and be the lead architect behind Practio’s technical architecture. You will implement new processes, act as main decision-maker on all technical details and drive the technical direction for Practio in close collaboration with the management, which you will become a part of.
As CTO you will lead an ambitious team of developers, both remotely and in-house, with reference directly to you in a split-structure with the product managers. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in expanding the department to match Practio’s aggressive growth objectives. It is key that you are used to working in an agile development environment, follow the latest trends and technical developments, and have a strong, natural curiosity towards exploring the unknown. It is essential that you have in-depth knowledge and experience with software development, and experience with healthcare technologies would be a large plus but is not essential. It is expected that you still possess the technical know-how to execute when needed and will act as a sparring-partner for your developer, although the main components of the CTO will remain strategic and within technical guidance.
You have several years of experience from growth company out of the SaaS industry and have in-depth knowledge of all inherent processes and technologies. Experience with start-ups and healthcare is a big plus. You are a digital native and come from a technical background with a broad knowledge of technologies, and possess a professionalism allowing you to work with technologies in a wide sense, contrary to only a few systems. It is key that you have leadership experience and are used to leading developers remotely.
